What the deal covers

Under the agreement, TOGETHXR gets access to USA Fencing athletes, teams, and competitions. Planned work includes:

Documentary-style features following U.S. athletes toward Los Angeles
Behind-the-scenes and social-first storytelling
Cross-platform amplification and joint marketing campaigns
Talent and athlete cross-participation at fencing events and women’s sports tentpole events

USA Fencing CEO Phil Andrews framed the partnership around telling fencing stories at a higher level before a home Games. Kati Fernandez, Chief Content Officer of TOGETHXR, called it TOGETHXR’s first collaboration with a National Governing Body and said the work will cover both women’s and men’s fencing.

Why USA Fencing timed it now

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lee Kiefer OLY defended individual foil gold and helped the U.S. Women’s Foil team win its first Olympic team gold, the first team gold for any American fencing squad in Olympic history
Lauren Scruggs OLY won individual silver in Paris and became the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic fencing medal
At the 2025 World Championships in Tbilisi, Kiefer won her first individual world title, and the Women’s Foil team took gold again
Jaelyn Liu, then 17, won three golds at the 2025 Junior and Cadet World Championships and became the youngest American to win a senior World Cup event
In March 2026, Notre Dame won the NCAA’s first standalone women’s fencing team title after the Division I Council voted for separate men’s and women’s championships

Eyes on Los Angeles

Fencing at LA28 will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center. USA Fencing notes that will be the first U.S. Summer Games fencing venue since Atlanta 1996 (and the first U.S. Games hosting fencing since the 2002 Winter Games context named in the release). The Women’s Foil program enters the cycle as a medal favorite after sweeping individual and team gold at both Paris 2024 and the 2025 Worlds.

USA Fencing says it has more than 45,000 members and 750 affiliated clubs. U.S. fencers earned four medals in Paris 2024 (two gold, one silver, one bronze).
