The Saber Nation Fencing Foundation

A nonprofit expanding access to saber fencing in the DMV through scholarships, equipment grants, outreach, and community support.

The Saber Nation Fencing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 42-2546405, with a mailing address at 3030 Greenmount Ave, Baltimore, MD. The foundation supports fencers who would otherwise be priced out of the sport.

Support takes three forms: scholarships that cover class tuition and private lessons, equipment grants that put masks, jackets, gloves, and sabers in the hands of new fencers, and outreach programs that introduce saber to schools and community groups across the DMV.

All foundation-supported training happens at the club salle. Saber Nation Fencing Club, 4701 Sangamore Road, Suite LL2, Bethesda, MD 20816. Phone (301) 200-1853, email info@sabernation.com. Weekday hours 4:00pm to 9:00pm, weekend hours 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Every grant is reviewed by the club coaching staff so support goes to fencers who will use it: a first season of youth classes, a competition kit, or travel help for a regional qualifier. Recipients train in the same groups as every other member, with no separate track and no public labelling.

Donations, volunteer coaching, and gently used equipment are all welcome. To donate, apply for support, or ask how the foundation works, email info@sabernation.com and a member of the team will reply directly.
