Cole Tabancay won Y-10 Men's Saber. Asked about it, he talked about explaining fencing to classmates who have never seen it — a familiar job for any young fencer in a school where the sport barely registers.

Anya Liu's Y-10 Women's Foil title came down to defense and knowing when to switch to attacking. She thanked her coaches and her parents. It is a simple description of a hard skill: recognizing the moment when holding shape stops paying and pressure starts.

Ifechi Olele won Y-14 Women's Epee and called it a 10-out-of-10 day, while pointing out that the lessons from the day mattered beyond the medal itself.
